1. The railing should be made of sturdy and durable materials that can withstand the horizontal loads specified in the load specifications;
2. The height of the railing should not be less than 1.05 meters, and the height of the railing for high-rise buildings should be appropriately increased, but should not exceed 1.2 meters;
3. The railing should not be left empty within a range of 0.10 meters from the ground or roof;
4. In areas with children's activities, railings should be of a structure that is not easy to climb;
5. Outdoor staircase handrail specifications: When the airport height is less than 24 meters, the outdoor shared staircase handrail should not be less than 105cm. When the airport height exceeds 24 meters, the outdoor staircase handrail should not be less than 110cm.
The height specification for indoor staircase handrails and the height for indoor staircase decoration is 90cm, but this data can be changed according to the actual situation. When the length of the staircase exceeds 5 meters, the height of the staircase handrail can be appropriately increased to 100 centimeters.
In addition, if there are children at home, for safety reasons, it is better to set the height of the staircase handrail at 100cm.
